About Susan Hooper

Susan Hooper is the author of Eversfloe, a sweeping fantasy novel set between England in 1800 and a hidden island Kingdom protected from the outside world by an ancient Veil.
She has always loved stories with complicated characters, secrets, difficult choices and worlds that feel as though they existed long before the reader arrived. Eversfloe grew from that love of immersive fantasy, bringing together magic, rebellion, politics, family and the question of what people are willing to risk for those they care about.
Susan lives in Cornwall, where she writes, teaches English, reads whenever she gets the chance, and spends far too much time thinking about fictional people and places.
Her next book, Across the Winter Sea, returns to the world of Eversfloe in an earlier story centred on Claron and a remote northern village facing a strange and dangerous kind of magic.
She publishes independently through TsuQuill Books.
